I’ve been contemplating where to go from here and gathering fabrics for three different quilts that I think will be good to work on next, and I started one of them over this past weekend. Here’s an overview:
Å i Lofoten
This tiny village on the Lofoten Islands is named after the last letter of the Norwegian alphabet because it is literally the end of the road. (The one road that runs through the village ends in a parking lot, and you can drive no further south.) The plan for this quilt is much like the Tracy Arm quilt, only instead of an iceberg, the cottages are the main focus.

New Hampshire Lake
This photo was taken in New Hampshire in the fall of 2020, back when social distancing was a thing and I was looking for things to do outdoors. You’ll be seeing more of this one soon – this is the one I’ve started!

Crater Lake
Crater Lake in March is a sight to behold! I had to stand on ten feet of snow in order to take this picture – it was well over my head and obviously still a challenge for national park staff. This was taken near the main parking lot by the visitor center, since most of the rest of the park was still closed off because of heavy snow.

The Crater Lake and Å i Lofoten quilts are still percolating in my head. I’ve got some of the fabrics for them, but I’m still looking around and making decisions about how they’re going to happen. The New Hampshire quilt is well underway, so you’ll be learning about that next…
