My name is Allison Rainville, and I have embarked on a journey to figure out how I can use my landscape photography to inspire my quilting.
I have been quilting on and off since about 2008, when I found myself underemployed and far away from home. Up until the summer of 2024, I mostly did traditional pieced quilting, with a smattering of English paper piecing and foundation paper piecing here and there. In 2023, I started working on a couple of quilts using printouts of my photos, which turned into this larger project in the spring of 2024.
Come along with me on this journey, as I dig into my archive of almost 50,000 photos (and counting) to find the ones that would make the BEST quilts!
